Why Do I Need Earplugs?
This is no longer a Question, it has been ignored for too long. A valid question, as there’s a checkered past between not wearing Marching Band Ear Plugs and trying to figure out, now at this time in my playing life how can I adjust to wearing ear plugs.
After spending five years understanding why musicians choose not to wear hearing protection, we approached the problem with musicians guiding the prototype phase and refined our musician earplugs to match performer demands.
After working with Dr. Weiss, Director of Bands at the University of South Carolina, and hundreds of musicians at the university, we were able to get to the root cause of why Marching Band Members don’t protect their hearing.
Through the process of experiencing music through the ears of performers as they choreograph and plan for months before they perform, we came to the conclusion that all earplugs on the market simply don’t work for musicians.
So we looked at what all the musicians needed and developed the best earplugs for marching band.
We patented this solution to give musicians total situational awareness while adequately protecting their most crucial asset – their hearing.

What We Do
There are thousands of collegiate marching bands in the US alone and countless others around the world all of whom must have a hearing conservation program.
This means that bands must compete to keep their music program alive and fully funded. With this in mind, we provide schools the most cost-effective means of informing students about the importance of hearing conservation and the tools to protect them from the dangerous decibels they face on a daily basis.
The process is straightforward. We visit your school to discuss your goals of hearing conservation for your band and create an installment plan.
As music lovers, we want to do whatever’s possible to protect band members and preserve music as a safe and honored tradition and have created the best earplugs for marching band.
4 Years in the Making
For 4 years now we have been working directly with The University of South Carolina, The University of Delaware, Michigan State University, and Northern Illinois University, during this time we have developed and patented our Custom Marching Bands Ear Plugs called, “The One”. It was our ambition to solve the issue that musicians felt when wearing hearing protection.
The major problem was musicians putting in thousands of hours of practice without using proper hearing protection as it did not exist.
Even the band directors and staff who OSHA requires to wear hearing protection would not wear them as they could not fully hear the music, tonality, color, and be fully situational aware. Until now it was impossible for them to protect their hearing and do their job.
The heartbreaking result of what we are finding is that 60% of all incoming freshman had ringing in their ears and 70% arrived with noise-induced hearing damage.
We must stop this insanity now.
